Team leaders

Marketer, strategic thinker, keynote speaker and author, Jeff McGarn has worn many hats in the creative field in the last 46 years. Jeff is a seasoned creative director, copywriter, photographer, graphic designer, singer, musician and songwriter.

He was a pioneer in Australia specialising in retirement marketing, and for the last 28 years has forged significant milestones in the industry in his role as principal of GBD – seniors lifestyle marketers.

Jeff has built an impressive client base covering more than 230 retirement villages, and over the years has won awards in design, print and advertising, including a Federal Government award for creating positive images of older Australians. Jeff has spoken at numerous retirement industry forums both in Australia and New Zealand.

With a Degree in Communications, Lisa worked in corporate marketing, training and IT for eight years. She then consulted for 15 years with the likes of Husqvarna, AMP and WorkCover. She also owned and operated a POS displays manufacturing business for seven years. Added experience in copywriting, advertising, PR, script and technical writing, as well as account and project management, means Lisa has been a solid addition to the GBD team since her arrival in 2009.

Helen brings impressive sales, operations and marketing experience spanning 20 years in the pharmaceutical and retirement industries. Helen is very familiar with bringing new products to market, ensuring mix of product, staging of construction, pricing, fees, naming of facilities, and generating marketing campaigns that meet market demand and achieve business objectives.

David joins us from a background in aged care, international relations and human rights advocacy. Before coming to GBD, David worked in Nagano, Japan as a Coordinator of International Relations for five years. Utilising his skills in technology, David coordinates the analytics, social media and digital advertising elements of GBD campaigns.
