Hindmarsh Retirement is part of the national property and construction corporation that specialises in over 55s living. Currently Hindmarsh Retirement owns and operates two villages in Canberra and their third project Marigal Gardens is currently under construction in Canberra's southern suburb of Kambah.



Challenge


Increase the rate of sales for the newest Canberra village Bellerive and its Stage 2 development, and generate interest in Stage 3 off the plan. For the long established village The Grange Deakin, increase sale activity for the available stock including a number of first floor villas

Idea

For Bellerive create an event-based campaign based on the real village vibe, a contemporary atmosphere of interesting people with interesting lives. For The Grange Deakin, the key was in targeting the select group of seniors who were not fazed by the prospect of entry stairs and were well aligned to the discerning mature market.

Results

The Bellerive open day event attracted over 300 visitors and 11 sales were made within two weeks. Stage 3 interest was so strong that Stage 4 development was brought forward. The Grange Deakin available stock was all sold.

We had approximately 300 visitors to our open day. It was truly a great day and certainly the best open day I have experienced in my Australian career in the sector! I acknowledge that the success of the open day was largely due to the advice provided by GBD and the quality of the marketing campaign leading up to the event. This is also evidenced by the fact that we took 8 applications in the week leading up to the open day and 3 applications yesterday (the day of the event).
